The visit to this former WWF (World Wildlife Fund) reserve of approximately 76,020 ha bringing together the Trafonomby, Andohahela and Vohidagoro mountains, which became a National Park in 1997, remains the highlight for fully discovering the very different worlds located in the region. It is therefore divided into three plots several tens of kilometers apart which attract different tourists from all over the world.

The TSIMELAHY forest of approximately 2 hours of walking at least in the well-maintained circuit which is the transitional forest most renowned for the magnificent beauty of its landscapes, the pacchypodium flowers, the baobab, the origin of the trihedral palm and the possibility of swimming in the natural swimming pool of Antaravola. Access is possible either by 4x4 car or by mountain bike from Fort-Dauphin to visit this magnificent place, but we advise you to do the circuit over at least 2 days with a night of bivoauc on site if you do the tour by bike. . .

MANGATSIAKA offers a minimum of 2.5 hours of walking for the tourist route of approximately 4km which takes place in the thorny bush allowing you to see many species of plants and wild animals such as Verreaux's sifaka and the large white lemurs are among the most agile acrobats. It's early in the morning between 5 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., late in the afternoon and at dusk the forest reveals all its secrets to you. Access possible only by 4x4 car or by bike from Fort-Dauphin to visit this place but you can do the circuit over at least 2 days with a night of camping on site if you do the tour by bike.

IHAZOFOTSY
This Ihazofotsy dry forest tour is accessible to different types of tourists. But sometimes tourists have to adapt to the road trip and camp there for at least one night. There are some hikes but it is not very difficult for all types of tourists. Very highly recommended tour for bird watchers who enjoy observing the different types of birds in the dry forest. But I also recommend it to tourists who want to make sure to see daytime animals and nighttime animals like the microcebes that live in this virgin forest, far from civilization. Access possible by 4x4 car or bike from Fort-dauphin via Amboasary there are large sisal plantations and the Ankirihiry village via Bevia before arriving there but you can do the circuit for at least 2 days with a night of camping on site if you do the tour in a 4x4 car or at least 4 days with 3 nights of camping including one night of camping in the intermediate forest of Tsimelahy, one night of camping in the dry forest of Ihazofotsy, one night of camping in the intermediate forest of Ankazofotsy if you go around by bike.

MANANGOTRY offers a walk of at least 2 hours inside the forest which is one of the southernmost in the old world. After visiting this park, you can continue up the valley to see the RANOMAFANA thermal spring and its beautiful village surrounded by the mountain range. Access possible by 4x4 car or by bike from Fort-Dauphin to visit this tropical forest of Manangotry but you can do the circuit over at least 2 days with a night of camping on site if you do the tour by bike.

ANKAZOFOTSY offers the 1.1km “LAFA” circuit which is located in the heart of an intermediate forest populated by ring-tailed lemurs with the relaxation area under the large trees; and the well-designed 4.2 km “TANTELISAROTRA” circuit has a good elevation gain. A viewpoint halfway along offers a breathtaking view of the surroundings and their vegetation typical of dry forest mountains; the circuit remains through the triangular palm, Pacchypodium lamerei, incarina grandidieri, didieraceae...
Access to Ankazofotsy is possible by 4x4 car, light car or bus and bicycle from Fort-dauphin to visit this place but you can do the circuit for at least 2 days with a night of camping on site if you do the tour by bike.
